An amazing outdoor rain shower and a deep separate bath. WOW!!! SO beautiful! Roomy, clean, impeccable decor, wonderful Asian /Thai styling and a balcony that is right over the river, right near the palace. As we arrived they had us sit down and enjoy a hot, mint-infused towel and a cold glass of rose water. We had flown in from NYC/JFK and had been traveling for 20 straight hours. Once you've done the walk, it's no big deal and the payoff, a lovely hotel right over the river, is well worth it. No worries though, just contact the hotel as you arrive and the bellman will meet you and take you in to the lovely OASIS of the hotel. One of the posters is correct on one thing: this is the hotel is in an older area of town and it is a weird walk to get there. PS: there are a lot of dogs in the area, you will probably hear them barking at different points in the day, and you’ll definitely pass them as you walk to the hotel.įantastic! I am in the taxi, leaving CHANN Bangkok Noi and I had to immediately write my review to let everyone know what a wonderful experience we had while staying at CHANN. After spending all day in the city it was nice to come back to the quiet location and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching bots buzz by on the river. Overall, this hotel is the perfect place to stay if your looking for a relaxing retreat. On the second morning they offered made to order meals. The buffet included a enough variety to satisfy different tastes. Our rooms included breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The room was clean, and included an electric kettle, instant coffee, and toiletries. The staff was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Once at the hotel you’ll be glad you took the extra time to find it. There is signage to help guide you, but it’s definitely not your typical drop off at the front door type of place. Once we found a taxi that was willing to go across the river (many declined due to the location) we had to walk through a few alleys to get to the actual hotel. Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge. Initially, my friends and I had a few concerns about the hotel’s proximity to the city center. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. PLASTICS! Once you've walked through the local community surrounding the hotel, you have to ask yourself why their water comes in small plastic bottles and not a refilled water jug. Hard to get taxis to go to Bangkok Noi they aren't sure they will have a fare back. You can get the security guard to drop you on the motorcycle at the public river boat, but, after dark, it's a long Grab ride back and over the bridge. Since there weren't many people around, they would have done much better to have prepared it as people came in. Tasteless fresh fruit that looked like it had been in the refrigerator over night. Breakfast was similar to a 2-star Thai hotel. What a great spot! Being right at the entry to the Chao Phraya river was great! Would stay there again if I wasn't rushed. I got lots of lovely wood, peace and a very large and comfortable room. Sums it up! I wasn't looking for 5-star glam.
